My friend Terry is the chief safety officer for a large commercial construction company based in Salt Lake City. We were having a discussion recently on the importance of Safety in the day to day operation of their business. I asked him how they drive Safety to be one of their core values of day to day business.
Each day their project managers and foreman fill out a checklist of required resources for the day. What manpower is needed for their project, building materials, equipment and resources to have a productive and efficient day of work. What safety equipment and procedures are required are of utmost importance. So litereally each day begins at home with a focus on Safety.
Begin each day with a focus and emphasis on safety so you can return home each evening safe and sound.
